This is a great looking tin toy from the 1930s. It is made by the Baldwin Mfg Co. out of Brooklyn, NY. It is a Wind-Up Tin Litho Clucking Chicken Hen, some also call it the Happy Hen. It is in fairly good shape considering its age but it does have some wear to it. There are some scratches and a few dents. It is approx. 5 1/4 x 5 x 3 inches. The handle still turns but it doesn't sound too much like a clucking chicken anymore but not sure if thats what it was suppose to sound like. This is the 2nd or 3rd one we have found and they never last too long. They make absolutely wonderful display pieces and conversation starters.
